The offertory procession from the Mass for Convents, recorded on the Hauptwerk sample set made by my wife of our parish church organ.
The Mass for Convents is on a smaller scale than the Mass for Parishes and is written for a smaller instrument - 2 manuals rather than 3, but still with a full complement of chorus up to mixtures, mutations and solo reed. The resources of this Holdich organ (2 manuals, 22 stops) match that specification. I have always played this piece as an outgoing voluntary (I was not brought up in a tradition with musical offertory processions) and I enjoy its dance-like quality.
