Away In A Manger

An interesting though slightly confusing history of authorship. This version uses the tune 'Cradle Song' by William J. Kirkpatrick. A carol with many different versions of text. Probably most popular these days at children's carol services.

For this I played the melody as a solo on the Recit Clarinette, then used the Unda Maris and Cor de nuit for the second verse, before the final verse returns to the Clarinette with Bourdon and Flute harmonique in the left hand.
