Thomas Aquinas' hymn "Pange lingua gloriosi corporis mysterium" was written for the Feast of Corpus Christi which is celebrated today.
The improvisation is split into three parts. It is based on the plainchant setting of Thomas' hymn in a Phrygian mode.
In my recent recordings both of improvisations and repertoire, I am exploring the possibilities of Piotr Grabowski's recently published sampleset "Nancy Cathedral". So I appreciate any constructive comments, suggestions, encouragement, and criticism.
