This piece comes from Twelve Choral-Preludes on Gregorian Chant Themes, op. 8 composed in 1947 and published in 1950.
I thought I'd get back to my French/Romantic works as the Klais organ is such a brilliant organ with beautiful sounds. Registration of this piece calls for Gamba on one manual and a Flute on another. This is possible on the Klais, so I've stuck to this.
I've played this piece abit slower than others do. I think it is such a lovely piece and shouldn't be rushed.
I am not Catholic or High Church, so yes, it is probably the wrong time of year to be publishing it, but to me it is a lovely piece of music.
Hope you enjoy.
