Albert van der Hoeven (1963) studied organ en piano at the conservatories in The Netherland and Paris. He attended courses in interpretation with Daniel Roth (St. Sulpice). Subsequently, he continued his studies at the Schola Cantorum and the Conservatoire National with Marie Louise Jaquet-Langlais. He gained respectively the 'Prix de Virtuosité', the 'Premier Prix (Medaille d'Or) and the 'Prix de Perfectionnement'. In 2004, the académique Société Francaise 'Arts, Sciences, Lettres' Paris awarded Albert van der Hoeven the Silver Medal for his services for French organculture.
