The music of George Gershwin (1898 -1937) stands apart from so many popular composers of his era. It lends itself to so much harmonic interpretation. Here is my version of two of my favourites - Lady Be Good and Embraceable You. These show the full range of the instrument - right down to the diminutive Dulcianas and the purr of the 32' viol at the end. Who knows what Gershwin might have gone on to write if if his life hadn't been cut so short.
