Continuing with my recovery from sciatica by trying something a bit more taxing and lengthy.
Here is a traditional tune arranged by Ann Kirwan with words by G.S. Rowe.
In the arrangement the first two lines of verse one are Alto and Soprano, before Tenor and bass sing. Verse two is a traditional four part setting. Verse three has an accompaniment with Alto solo before later splitting into four parts where Tenor and Bass hum long held notes. The final verse is again four parts before the last line splits into a descant.
The manuals start on Recit strings before moving to Positive with Recit coupled. Third verse is Great with both coupled. Fourth verse adds Great Plein Jeu before adding Positive Trumpet for the descant.
