Jesus Christ is Risen Today! (Easter Hymn)

The classic Easter hymn, and a piece that begs the organist to "pull the Tutti stop." The organ at St. Annes Moseley doesn't have a Tutti stop, per se--but our wee kirk is a St. Anne's Moseley kind of church--and this piece will be a favorite again, today, Easter Sunday 2012.

This is a new recording of the first piece that I ever posted to Contrebombarde. I've learned an enormous amount about timing, phrasing, (and congregation singing to an organ) over the past fifteen months.
