Composer: Monsieur Le Clerc
Sample Producer: OrganArt Media
Sample Set: 1766 Riepp Dreifaltigkeits Organ, Ottobeuren, Germany
Software: Hauptwerk IX
Genre: Classicism
Description:
I recorded a few days ago all the "Suites du Magnificat" de Monsieur Le Clerc, a french organist working aroud 1760-1780 in Paris. That's all what we know about him. I found a mention on a score of Corrette saying he was selling music.
The seventh suite was recorded a few months ago using the Souvigny set.

I decided to record all other suites using different organs (Vézelise, Meisenheim, Saint-Guilhem, Arlesheim).
The last one (Number 8) is recorded on the Great Ottobeuren organ. This organ sounds so french !

1. Plein jeu
2. Duo 1:45
3. Jeu de Clairon 3:15
4. Flutte 5:05
5. Musette 7:01
6. Grand Jeu 8:02

Some pieces are clearly influenced by Beauvarlet, Benaut, ... It's the same regarding the suites of JB Nôtre.
I decided to correct some notes, but not all. I must take time to improve the score.
It's not the best music, but the composer has some good ideas, and some works are very nice. I decided also to use classical registrations... but not always.
