| Description: | Franz Schubert (1797–1828), the renowned Austrian composer of the Romantic and Viennese Classical periods, recognized for his contributions to the development of the German art song, wrote very little music for the organ during his short life. Consequently, transcriptions are often played on the organ. This is also the case here: No. 13 from his Valses Sentimentales D.779, arranged and expanded by Alessandro Longo (1864–1945) score: https://imslp.org/wiki/Biblioteca_d'oro_(Longo%2C_Alessandro)
I played the original version of this short, popular, and very well-known piece in my piano lessons as a teenager: beautiful, gentle, melancholic, and expressive music, as if made for a romantic organ and a soothing earworm to complement the colorful diversity of the first month of summer.
