| Description: | Another recording of Vierne's Arabesque. Last time with the new Eule from Duisburg, this time with Link/Gaida from Pauluskirche Ulm - the instrument on which I learned to play the organ many years ago, and before Gaida got his hands on it.
At the beginning, I am using the Flauto mirabilis 8' on the HW. The middle section is mostly soft 8' stops, later supported by the Oboe 8' from the SW in the left hand. The final section uses the Konzertflöte 8' with a little bit of support from other soft flutes.
Not so sure about the audio. For this recording, I set the direct channels at 100% , middle at 60%, and rear at about 40%. Using more of the middle and rear channels leads to a softer sound, but the very soft voices disappear in the acoustics to the point where they become inaudible.
This is the first recording taken on my new 4-manual DIY console :-) Once again - I am not a professional organ player. Bear with me, please. |
