That's - only - a work in progress.

The BWV 582 is really a massive, overwhelming and exhausting masterpiece. So, this is an adventurous experience to try to render it on a massive and overwhelming organ...French...and, to make matters still worse, from very late 19th.

The organ commanded and the result is very far from the way Bach is played these days and is obviously NOT historically informed -rather in a Stokowski mood in fact :-) - and highly questionable. But I had much pleasure to learn and play the work, although it's evident that it still needs some months of rest followed by again a good deal of work.

As French symphonic voicing privileges much the treeble, I added the hautbois in the fugue to try to make the medium more audible without having a too reedy sound.

There are many good Bach's Passacaille on CCH ; this one competes only to be the heaviest and silliest one :-) :-)
