Description:
The second of ‘Three Quiet Pieces for Organ’ published in 1946 by the O.U.P. under the title ‘Reflections’. The score was dated 31st August 1943 yet may have been mentioned in a diary entry on 20 February 1940. On the 12th May 1945, he wrote in his diary: 'I have been lately contemplating "Come let us join our cheerful songs", "Three Quiet Pieces" and a rewrite of "Jesu, grant me this I pray", also nearing completion'. His drastic decline in health would follow in April.
