Description:
"O du fröhliche" (O how joyful) is a very common german hymn that is sung in almost every Christmas Eve and Christmas Day service.

With my todays upload (the last in my advent calendar) I want to honor two great Hollywood composers: Erich Wolfgang Korngold and John Williams.

Korngold was a jewish austrian composer who emigrated in 1938 in the USA due to the annexion of Austria by Germany. In the USA he wrote the soundtrack for many movies. Korngold's music for "Kings Row" inspirated John Williams when he wrote the Star Wars soundtrack.

The Intro features Korngold and his Kings Row music, the outtro features John Williams with - of course - Star Wars.

Enjoy and merry christmas!
