| Description: | Ignacy Jan Paderewski.
18 November 1860 – 29 June 1941.
Paderewski was a Polish pianist, composer and statesman who was a spokesman for Polish independence. In 1919, he was the nation's prime minister and foreign minister during which he signed the Treaty of Versailles, which ended World War I.
I wanted to bring to our attention this famous person who was a composer and Statesman. He did not write for the organ but as we all love a good Elegy this piece seems to work well on the organ especially as sections of it are marked 'quasi orgue'. Well why not have the real thing.
I won't just copy out more about him here but I urge you to read his Wiki entry here;
