Toccata

Born and educated in Russia, Mushel then moved to Uzbekistan where he composed most of his works, drawing on the musical traditions of Uzbekistan. This Toccata comes from a Suite based on local folk melodies.

The organ at Regensburg features mighty choruses sounding in a long acoustic. I played this piece to find out how the sample set renders music with fast-moving harmonies and passing notes; you can hear the result here.
