I sincerely apologize for the extreme delay in posting anything. Life gets overwhelming sometimes and I had to step away but I am glad to be back and hopefully greeting the familiar faces who comment and view my videos.
This lovely piece from Bach's Orgelbüchlein is a staple of the epiphany organ repertoire. The hymn on which it is based was written by Elisabeth Cruciger who uses beautifully vivid words to illustrate Christ taking on human flesh and coming again both as a child in a manger and as the risen conquering Lord who comes to judge the living and the dead. May this splended epiphany work fill you with the joy and praise (even in spite of a sub-par performance on my part) described in verse four: "Before You mortals lowly cry, "Holy, Holy, Holy, O blessed Trinity!"
