1766 Riepp Heilig-Geist Organ (Surround), Ottobeuren, Germany
|
| Software: | Hauptwerk VIII |
| Genre: | Baroque |
| Description: | Georg Philipp Telemann doesn't need a lot of introduction. He was one of the most famous German baroque composers in his time and certainly one of the most productive composers. Cantatas, oratorios, passions, ouvertures, chamber music, keyboard music etcetera.
The Fantasia that I play here is part of the 36 Fantasias for harpsichord TWV 33. It consists of 3 parts: Allegro, Adagio, Allegro (repeat of the first Allegro). Obviously meant for harpsichord, but some work very well for organ. Especially on the small Heilig Geist organ of Ottobeuren.
This is the bèta surround version, which hasn't been released yet.
