This Impromptu was written by Joseph Löw (1834-1886) as op 297.2, the second of a series of three pieces.

He was a Bohemian jewish composer, but I do know not much about him. He was born and died in Prague where he probably lived most of his live. He was written a sizeable collections of pieces with nearly 700 opus numbers known.
