Is it coincidence that Kehl used one of his most beautiful compositions as the last composition in his "Erste Sammlung"? Or was it the decision of a clever business man, to wet the appetites for possibile future 'Sammlungen'? Fact is that Kehl's prelude to the choral "Von Gott will ich nicht lassen" brings together Kehl's qualities on a high level and the composition is simple, effective and evocative. I really liked playing and recording it.
