Composer: * My Own Composition
Sample Producer: Piotr Grabowski
Sample Set: Mascioni, Azzio (2016)
Software: GrandOrgue
Genre: Contemporary
Description:
An Italian Christmas carol whose author is unknown, both in terms of the lyrics and the enchanting melody.
A love song, if you take a closer look at the lyrics. Wonderful for the Christmas service!
The sonata is - as so often with my recent compositions - in three parts. The middle movements are framed by a relatively simple song movement in which - in contrast to my earlier compositions - I have dispensed with harmonic flourishes, because the wonderful melody should dominate the sound and not get lost in harmonic chaos. The song movement is followed by an equally simple trio, only with the flauto conico in the positive. Wonderful how the sound resonates in this pipe ....
By the way, I played the trio live in its entirety, but I reworked the song movement and fugue a little after the recording.
I have orchestrated the fugue somewhat more powerfully, and in the concluding song movement we hear the full Mascioni organ, an exceptionally beautiful instrument, isn't it?
