The Nutcracker is one of the most popular ballets and is extensively stage around Christmas - indeed many companies make a significant portion of their annual revenues from it. It is also most dancers' aspiration to perform the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.
In Act 2 a number of 'characteristic dances' are performed in the Kingdom of Sweets, representing both nationalities and flavours. Here are two of them: the Arab Dance representing coffee and the Chinese Dance representing tea.
