This piece is the first of a set of versets and pieces for the mass "Cunctipotens Genitor Deus" that is part of the Ms. 169 (municipal library of Versailles) and was also published as part of the 14 pieces op 10 (no. 1 of that collection, a few differences between this manuscript and the engraving, this recording being of the manuscript version)
