| Description: | Johann Ernst Rembt (26 August 1749 — 26 February 1810)
German organist and composer born in Suhl, where he became organist and remained for the rest of his life. Before this he toured France and Holland, wowing audiences in Paris.
Writing in 1889, Robert Eitner says: " The modern age has again sought out his compositions and made them known for the benefit of the organ player ... it is a curious fact that the French have just fallen for the German organ master to wrest him from oblivion" https://www.deutsche-biographie.de/sfz76175.html
There isn't much to this short piece and I doubt it was one that would have wowed audiences but it is a nice piece anyway.
Hope you enjoy
John
After spending the last year playing on Caen bar a couple of uploads I have decided to take a tour of my other sample sets which are feeling a bit left out! |
