John Redford (c.1500 - 1547) English composer and organist. Around 1525 he became organist at St Paul's Cathedral London. He is known as one of the earliest composers for organ music.

This is a simple trio version of the Latin advent hymn "Veni redemptor gentium" (Come, Redeemer of the nations). The hymn was translated by Martin Luther into German as "Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland,"
