Choralvorspiel Jesu meine Freude BWV610

One thing in advance: I will write the description in German from now on. The reason is that I have far better possibilities in my native language to describe complex things, or (music)-technical features.

Alberto's und Markus Uploads des Chorals BWV610 Jesu meine Freude haben mich dazu inspiriert, ebenfalls eine Aufnahme dieses herrlichen Stücks zu machen. Die sehr langsame, aber einfühlsame Einspielung Alberto's hat seinen Reiz, ebenso die etwas schnellere von Markus. Beide Aufnahmen finde ich wirklich klasse. Aber ich wäre nicht "NeoBarock", wenn ich da nicht gänzlich anders herangehen würde. Zum einen heißt es "Jesu meine Freude", und Freude geht ja auch meist mit beschleunigtem Puls einher, warum also nicht etwas akzentuierter und schneller an die Sache herangehen.
Und so ist die vorliegende Aufnahme entstanden, die - und ich hoffe Ihr stimmt mir da zu - auch seinen Reiz hat.
Mein neuer Samplesatz "SaintJean de Luz choer" feiert hier Premiere. Leider fehlen Zungenstimmen im Pedal, die Trompete im Manual ist etwas dünn. Ich spiele das Stück 2 mal hintereinander, einmal mit kleiner und das zweite Mal im Plenum, wobei nicht ganz alle Stimmen klingen.

Alberto's and Markus' uploads of the chorale BWV610 Jesu meine Freude have inspired me to also make a recording of this wonderful piece. Alberto's very slow but sensitive recording has its charm, as does Markus' somewhat faster one. I find both recordings really great. But I wouldn't be "NeoBaroque" if I didn't approach it completely differently. For one thing, it's called "Jesu meine Freude", and joy usually goes hand in hand with an accelerated pulse, so why not approach the matter a bit more accentuated and faster.
And that's how the present recording came about, which - and I hope you agree with me - also has its charm.
