Description:
William Babell - a student of Handel- has transcribed overtures and arias from his teacher's operas for harpsichord. I carefully fitted this version with a pedal and transferred it to the organ. The opera Rinaldo begins with a splendid French overture, so I think St. Maximin fits this piece perfectly. A very unusual repertoire for the organ, but I think it's a nice addition.
