Another composer’s introduction to the Concert Hall:
Paul Claußnitzer (1867-1924) was teacher at the Grimma and Nossen seminars, after finishing his study at the conservatory of Dresden.
Besides organ works (mainly choral preludes), he composed choral works, songs and piano music. Though a contemporary of Reger and Kart-Elert, his harmonic language is more related to that of Brahms. With a lot of attention to counterpoint.
