Pastorella on the chorale "Der Herr ist mein getreuer Hirt"

Friedrich Wilhelm Marpurg (21 November 1718 - 22 May 1795) was a German music critic , music theorist and composer.

Simple - some might say boring - piece here from Marpurg. Comes from a book I had when I started learning the organ so 14 or so years ago.

Those who know German or even partly recognise words will see this is Psalm 23 'The Lord is My Shepherd'. For believers a good time to reflect on what has been and look forward to life with the Shepherd guiding through all trials to safety.
