Description:
"Komm, Immanuel!
Befreie das gefangene Israel,
das in der Verbannung wehklagt,
beraubt um Gottes Sohn.
Freue dich, freue dich,
Immanuel wird für dich, Israel, geboren."

'Veni, veni, Emmanuel' consists of a synthesis of several gregorian antiphons, which have been sung in the week(s) before Christmas in vesper services. The German version (Cologne, 1710) was spread out as an Advent song through use in Jesuit's schools.

Gaël Liardon (1973-2018) was a versatile Swiss musician, composer, organist,
piano player, singer and songwriter, teacher, improviser, theorist, researcher, organizer of concerts and cultural events. He loved discovery and was interested in many musical styles‘.
(Benjamin Righetti, Lausanne).
His beautiful organ works are characterized by stylistic purity, clear voice guidance and musical simplicity.

Liardon created a contemplative organ chorale in the style of Pachelbel.
