Auf Bethlehems stillen Auen - Liedsatz und Fuge

And again a Christmas carol from Austria, which again is unknown in our country, and this again despite the beautiful melody.
I set it to 4 voices in December 2017 and yesterday I composed a 4-part fugue on the theme.
Just as Bach used to say about the theme of his musical sacrifice, which the king played to him on his flute, "The theme is not suitable for a fugue", so here too, with the melody of this carol.
Well, I think I have made the best of it ...
