Strungk's prelude to "Lass mich dein sein und bleiben" is one of the few remaining organ compositions of Strungk. The first three bars are a fine example of the quality of Strungk's writing: the soprano voice plays the first phrase of the chorale melody, accompanied in the tenor voice by a dimunition of the same phrase and in the tenor by a dimunition of the dimunition. Great writing, great music.
