From a collection of 9 arrangements of Early American Hymn Tunes, this is based on the tune "Distress". Other tunes in the collection include "New Britain", "Middlebury", "Restoration", "Antioch", "I Love Thee", "Land of Rest", "Land of Rest", "Consolation", and "Happy Land".

Published by The Sacred Music Press in 1977.

Shearing came up with the arrangements and was assisted by Dale Wood in fitting them to the organ.
