Description: | Aria, BWV deest (Emans Nr. 111)
Perhaps by Bach, and perhaps not, but it's very sensitively written.
This is my 144th upload; being into number theory, that's a great number, so I wanted it to be special. I searched in vain for something like opus 144, or 144 bars of music, etc. But that was kind of trivial.
Not sure how I ended up with this piece, but since it's such a beautiful composition, with such deep sensitivity, I thought I play it, as I did at my father's funeral, when I played the beautiful Van Dam organ in the church of Tzummarum. He reached the ripe age of 95-1/2; quite amazing!
Registration: 2x8', 1x4' flutes of the Positiv, plus tremulant.
So, I dedicate this to my dad, who is alive and well in another realm. |
