I've decided that if Agnus_Dei can have a Rowley Riot then I can have a Flor Fest ;-)
Published in 1975, these short pieces are, in the words of James Conley the editor, 'short, improvisatory pieces written in various styles in all major and minor keys'. They are written on two staves and can be played with pedals or manuals alone.
Everyone always starts at the beginning, so I've decided to start at the end!
This piece is in B- major and calls for Swell Bourdon 16', Eoline 8' and Vox Celeste 8'. On this organ the Eoline is replaced with Viola 8'. No pedals for this piece. I added the tremulant as I was interested to see what effect it had. It is quite nice - very subtle and not imposing.
Really enjoying this organ - it is amazing that such wonderful sample sets are available for us to enjoy and use. It has become my second favourite, after Caen.
Hope you enjoy. More Flor Peeters miniatures coming soon.
