Description:
Bernard Herrmann (1911 –1975) was an American composer best known for his work in composing for motion pictures. As a conductor, he championed the music of lesser-known composers. Is probably the most imporant film composer of the history of the soudtracks.

Vertigo is a masterpiece movie by Alfred Hitchcock made in 1958 with James Stewart and Kim Novak.
Hitchcock's film is about obsession, which means that it's about circling back to the same moment, again and again... And the music is also built around spirals and circles, fulfilment and despair. Herrmann really understood what Hitchcock was going for— he wanted to penetrate to the heart of obsession.
