Caen - St. Etienne Cavaillé Coll
|
Software: | Hauptwerk IV |
Genre: | Baroque |
Description: | I don't play Bach often - I'm not a great interpreter of his works and I find his music doesn't fit my style of playing, which is more chordal than contrapuntal.
However, this is one of his most beautiful works and since my Uncle died on Saturday morning, I've been in somewhat of a reflective mood. After hearing Daniel Roth interpret it on one of his CDs at the great organ of St Sulpice, I decided to have a go on the Caen sampleset.
Registration:
Grand: Gambe 8 foot
Positif: Cor de nuit 8, Flute Douce 4
Recit: Flute Traverse 8, Viole de Gambe 8
Pedal: Bourdon 32, Contrebasse 16, Soubasse 16
All coupled together with the Recit sub-octave coupler on.
Hope you enjoy my meager attempt at Bach!
John
There is a blip where the page turn of the touchscreen didn't respond as hoped, so I had to edit out the held notes, so you'll hear a strange part for a second or so, hope it doesn't detract! |
