Description: | This prelude on “Helft mir Gottes Güte preisen” has an interesting feauture. The accompaniment to the choral melody is not written with a specific range in mind (for example alto or tenor). Instead the accompaniment uses almost the entire keyboard. To keep the music readable the accompaniment is scored on two separate staves. The music features some parallels (unisono, octave and quint) which could be taken as evidence of a composer with lesser skills. Yet it’s a beautiful piece with great expression.
