Jean Huré (17 September 1877 – 27 January 1930) was a French composer and organist.
He was mostly self taught as a musician. Hure was an organist at the cathedral in the French city of Angers, before moving to Paris and being advised to study at the Conservatory. He held a number of posts as organist in Paris - most notably that of Sacre-Coeur in 1924 and then in 1926, succeeding Gigout at Saint-Augustin.
I found this piece ages ago browsing IMSLP looking for simple music for service use. I never did anything with it because Christmas was coming. I rediscovered it today in my files. It is marked for organ or harmonium. I used a flute on the Great and Viol d'Gambe and Celeste on the Recit. There is no pedal part.
