A while back I purchased the new "Seventh Heaven" reverb from Liquid Sonics. However I've had to wait a while before installing it due to a couple of delays. First, I had to wait until the iLok licence key arrived. Then I had a most unexpected setback involving laser/cryotherapy treatment on a retinal tear in my left eye. The surgery (performed at Sydney Eye Hospital ten days ago) went well, all is OK and I'm now back at the organ.
Seventh Heaven would have to be the easiest reverb plug-in I've used, and my first impressions of its sounds are favourable.
I've chosen to re-record the little Krieger fughetta simply because it was still sitting there on the music rest from when I recorded it on another sample set just prior to the eye surgery, so it was the easiest piece to grab quickly.
I've chosen the PAB Gravissimo for this, because I always load this sample set in simulated dry mode then add reverb separately. The sample set's natural acoustic is too dry for my liking, and the so-called "cathedral" reverb option supplied with it is in my view unusable.
Registration is "organo pleno" - full Great to Mixtures without the double, with matching pedal plus Basson 16 (uncoupled).
