Another pleasant Prelude and Fugue by Johann Peter Kellner. Since it has no pedal part it can be played on harpsichord as well as on organ. The fugue is one of the better fugues of Johann Peter Kellner. That’s probably because Kellner sticks to a pseudo three voice texture, that in reality forms a largely two voice fugue. And Kellner has no problem with virtuosic two voice writing. The work has not a lot of depth, but is a pleasure to play.
