The Dutch organist and composer André de Jager has a preference for the French romantic organ repertoire and is committed to making it better known. He is one of the few Dutch organist/composers to have written 5 symphonies and 24 Pieces in Free Style for organ. He also composed two Cantatas, a Requiem and Psalm 43 for choir and orchestra. Because of his services to French organ music André de Jager was decorated with the Bronze Medal (2007) and with the Silver Medal (2014) by the French Société Académique d'éducation et d'encouragement "Arts, Sciences, Lettres" in Paris. In February 2016 he was appointed as city-organist of Papendrecht, The Netherlands. See also: http://www.andredejager.nl
