Chorale and Variations (Partita): Meinem Jesum lass ich nicht by Johann Gottfried Walther (Erfurt, 18 September 1684 - Weimar, March 23, 1748) was a German composer.
Pro cousin of Johann Sebastian Bach was appointed organist in Weimar, where he carried out his assignment for an extended period. His Musicalisches Lexicon (1732) is the father of all the Spanish music that combines biographical explanations of musical terms. He worked very closely with the famous cousin and transcribed
for harpsichord and organ concerts of Italian composers of that time (including Vivaldi).
