Jean Langlais remains one of the most admired composers of the 20th century. Canzona is part of collection "Folkloric Suite" (1954), and captures the unique flavor of Langlais' French, harmonic, post-impressionism. The Canzona Is also a homage to the "Canzonas" by Andrea and Giovanni Gabrieli.
