Description:	Amanda Parker (b. 1937) — Fanfare and Duel (1992) for organ Amanda Parker (b. 1937) was educated at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, the University of Mermont, and Johnson State College. She was active as an organist in Vermont and Pennsylvania before her retirement from music. "Fanfare and Duel" (1992) is one of Parker's only musical compositions and is a wonderfully assured work. Outer sections of fanfare character flank the "duel," in which a syncopated melody is passed back and forth between manuals and pedal. Published by Belwin-Mills (out-of-print)
