Composer: Gabriel Menalt (1657-1687)
Sample Producer: Sonus Paradisi
Sample Set: Chapelet Spanish Collection
Software: Hauptwerk VIII
Genre: Baroque
Description:
Gabriel Manalt I Domenech was born in Martorell in Catalonia. He was first organist in the chuch St Just y Pastor in Barcelona, and from 1679 to 1687 he was organist in Santa Maria del Mar. Around 60 organ works were preserved. I use here the score published by William Shannon (IMSLP). I thanks him for this edition.

These "Versos de mano derecha" were composed certainly for an organ with 2 manuals but can be played on a single manual with divided stops. I decided to play them experiencing some articulations, or choices regarding musical alterations.

In this first part, I use both organs of the Chapelet's collection, adding some reverberation. The second part is recorded on the Capillas set (OAM) and will be published tomorrow.
