This time a recording of 3 Elevations from the 'Parnasse des Organistes du XXme siècle':
- Elevation (
0:00) - Saturnin Paraire (1883-1937; "Professeur au Conservatoire et organiste de St-Mathieu à Perpignan")
- Elevation (
03:39) - J.B. Lajarrige (composer and organist at the Église Saint-Vincent-de-Paul in Marseille during the period 1890-1910)
- Elevation (
08:20) - Robert Charles Martin (1877—1949; French composer, organist at the church of St Michel - Le Havre and teacher. Among his pupils was the composer Arthur Honegger who dedicated his first published work to Martin).
Three different Elevations, but mainly played on the softer foundations of the Aristide sample set. Interesting to compare these meditative pieces ...
This is also the finale of my 'Parnasse-volume-I-project'; I recorded all pieces (see playlist) ... but one ... the Offertoire sur deux Noels - Pierre Kunc. This piece I will record with Christmas :-)
I hope you enjoy(ed) this recording and maybe all my Parnasse-recordings. Thanks for your supportive comments, much appreciated!
