Präludium und Fuge G-Dur

op.11 No.15

It took a few days, but now the next piece is ready, because after the prelude and fugue is before the next prelude and fugue .....
At least until No.24 is finished - I am confident to be through with it until Christmas Eve.
At the same time, I'm keeping a large music book with these pieces, and I'll tell you this much: it already contains more than 100 pages of densely printed paper, densely printed because the music is also extremely dense .... But enough small talk .....
With a playing time of 5 minutes, this piece is shorter than its predecessors, which has to do with the fact that the prelude with only a few bars - in the style of a French overture - precedes the fugue, which is again more expansive.
The fugue is for 4 voices. I worked out the theme on my Kurzweil PC88 piano. I am sure that I will not run out of themes and that the whole work will lead to a good ending.

Regarding the tonal character of G major in the well-tempered tuning, you can read: rather cheerful, somewhat ordinary (easy to play)- the latter I dare to doubt ;-) in this sense: Have fun now with this piece.
