Description:
Today we Protestants - among whom I also count myself - celebrate the Reformation. One of the most beautiful choruses, if not the most beautiful chorus, whose notes the great master ever put on paper, is this entrance chorus from the exceedingly festive cantata BWV 80.

There is a lot of work in this piece, and unfortunately I didn't finish it, so only the first part can be heard. Next year I plan to perform this monumental composition in its entirety, not only the entrance chorus, but also the beautiful arias, duets and chorales that this cantata contains.

We hear the Eisenbarth organ in Friesach, and I have planned a plenum in which - to better distinguish the individual voices - not all stops are pulled. The trumpets sound with the full solo movement, and in the pedal the Untersatz 32" and the Posaune 16" cannot be missing. The choir is on the swell, while the strings sound on the Hauptwerk.

In places, 12 voices can be heard at the same time, and it would be impossible to play this live. Which brings us to the subject of the thread MIDI: the devil's work or a gift from heaven. I think that MIDI impressively shows here that it is a gift!

Have fun with this piece!
