Yeoman of the Guard

Here is one for Gilbert and Sullivan fans.

This medley comprises:
When Maiden Loves
When Our Gallant Norman Foes
Were I Thy Bride
Tell a Tale of Cock and Bull
I Have a Song to Sing O (Finale)

The Yeoman of the Guard is unusual amongst G&S operas in that its plot does not rely on a weak sleight of hand at the ending and because it ends tragically. It also contains some of Sullivan's finest music.

The Albee sample set provides a good range of symphonic sounds, from the lighter ‘Were I Thy Bride’ to the austere ‘When our Gallant Norman Foes’.
